Brand onstaat in woonhuizen meestal in electronische apparatuur.

Given the fact that in different periods different types of music "emerge"or are popular, perhaps B&O did produce the systems/speakers that were fitting the musical preferences of the time, so they will sound different. I mean, the 70s/80s/90s all had their specific sound, at least in popular music that is. B&O's official statement

Again, a speakers-question: these days some real 70s nostalgia shows up; it makes me think about the sound of the speakers from that period, B&O produced some very good hifi speakers in these years (I own a pair of s45-2), how do they compare to the speakers of the 80s and 90s, beolab 8000 vs M100/M120? In other words, is there any progression in

Beosound 1 is a very special product, timeless design. However, it's unbelieveable it hasn't got RDS, especially because it's a portable radio.

Aside of al the fuss about what B&O should do/have done/do wrong ect, let's focus on what one can buy at this moment from the productrange: I think the combination beosound 4 + beolab 9 is the best value-for-money at the moment from B&O. (cheapest but most efficient player + very good but not the most expensive speaker). Any comment on this

B&O should not make the same mistake as BMW did with their "I-drive" system; technology for the sake of technology, without connection to the actual customers, middle aged and wealthy, who want something "hands-on" and easy to use. A beosound 5 without a CD player? A lot of people buy CD's and will continue to do so, downloading

I have both a 9500 and 9300 and i think the 9500 sounds better, warmer more detailed sound. 9300 sounds a bit "flat".
-
I thought that the change from beocenter 9500 to beocenter 9300 simplified the CD player that was used (from 16 bit to 1 bit bitstream), but in the following text is it explained that it's actually an improvement. Can anyone comment on this? http://library.thinkquest.org/26171/gforce.html

Hearing (acoustic) music through a pair of s45-2 rosewood speakers on their stands is very near hearing a live orchestra, they cost around 20 euro's each these days.... However, there is a difference in sound between the CD players; beocenter 9300 sounds a bit more mettalic/flat than the 9500, the CDX is very good too.

The designers in Struer for sure must have been also considering these options when developing the coming beosound 5. I don't think downloading music files wil make physical musiccarriers like CD/SACD obsolete, at least i like the "real" thing to hold in your hand, reading the book/text/lyrics that goes with it, and putting it into the
