The fact that you can't tell the difference rather negates your somewhat pathetic arguement.
That was kind of my point here and on the other thread. edit: In fact, that would be a fun test. They can make half a run of a product in China, half in Denmark, cut prices to reflect savings, and see if anyone

How to make your life better with a Mac and B&O: 1. Buy some B&O 2. Buy a MacMini 3. Buy a Beoport 4. download the Linkplayer software 5. download plex 6. cable and configure everything. now you have your DVDs, music, and photos all running off your Mac, controllable with Beo4, and done in Plex 7. drink beer. I like Augustiner, personally, but
Why should a Czech or Chinese worker identify itself with the tradition of B&O? There's no reason for it, it's just a job. Personaly that is a difference for me and for the quality of the product at the end of the assembly line. It may sound funny but there's a difference between a unpersonal product without
I think you don't get the point: B&O claims to be a traditional company with strong values etc. which always made very good stuff in Denmark. When they're moving their production to Czech for example, they are not traditional they don't want to make even more money out of their products; nothing more! So

The guy that designed all the stuff we have isn't Danish. None of the panels in the TVs are Danish. I'd rather have a well made product that does what I want it to than worry about where it was assembled. The price is really only relevant when it comes to if you want to pay said price for the product. If you feel it's not worth it then don't
Oki, let's talk for fun... If it is cheap, it is not B&O. B&O tends to be the No.1 in quality, in design, in trend, in technology, but not cheap No.1.
This is... um... this is just crazy. So you're saying B&O *needs* to be expensive? They shouldn't worry about increasing consumer
If B&O made an Iphone they would not want to sell 50 billion of them either and certainly not market them at a 299$ consumer price either. So if B&O would market it's own customized iphone at $2000 you still would pay that price for a product that comes of the same chinese assembly line ? wow I have no problem
Ok. Yes it is the same factory but in Europe the work is done by better paid and protected worker (Flexicurity). As well as enviroment is more protected.
So you're paying more for the same work but it's still foreign built. And this is a good idea why?
I never said all pieces need to be manufactured in Denmark. If it is a full assembled chinese product I would be ok with that on condition it has a chinese price level as well.... which means I would never buy any B&O products as I now do not buy any bose products for example.
What if it was made in Poland
BTW, I have to comment about the desired market ... when I was young, the B&O catalogs featured architects and design. Now they seem to feature doctors with chalets and Astons. I feel that the direction is away from being a maker of quality products with great design to being a maker for the hugely rich. The direction
