Its a good point, i think all manufacturers could always use "better" components and it is true that Bang could use better components in some products - such as BangLab 8000 speaker cones....or upscalers in some video components, say for example the Bangsystem3. Fair call.
-
Not true. Changes have been immediate. You just dont see them at the coal face. Yet.
-
Hi There I have heard these speakers. I found them underwhelming to be honest. The manufacturer also made reference to these being "tuned" for more classical music - which i found suprising.
-
Great point! But i think Bang is already one of the most green electronics manufacturers avaliable today. Bang extensively uses recyclable aluminium in most products. Bang uses genuine glass in its televisions. Recently it made a change in anti reflective coatings to ensure the process was still environmentally sound. Bang uses the cleanest anodisation

Oh dear, we are all feeling a little unkind today. Lets all be more serious about it.... While there is a lot of speculation in this thread, which has indeed put a smile on my dial this morning, let me tell you some facts. The BangSound 5 is going to be a cracker. It is an important piece of the Bang line up and the fact it has been held back underlines

Nobby, then it would be component degradation. It does happen, ask Rolls Royce.
-
It does become all a bit technical. Essentially the DVD1 has some inherrient design flaws with its mech. This was why it was eventually upgraded to a more reliable mechanism. The DVD1 mark 1 mech can internally overheat. Causing component fatigue after a period of time. This is not uncommon for any manufacturer of PCBs - especially when used in intstances
-
I admire your determination here! The mech does get too hot - i know this for a fact as i have had first hand information on this. When getting hot, doesnt necessarily mean that the IC is getting really hot - small changes in internal temperatures to some IC's make a huge difference. The new board was better designed...for cooler running and better

unfortuantly, what seems to happen consistently on these forums is the topic gets quickly forgotten. Then we all start attacking one another. Shame really.

This is a common fault. Check if the little plastic arm has come off the face plate. Dont panic. Dont open it up. It may be a warranty issue.
