Well it's still a Phillips and it's not 12 yeas, since thy stopped selling them jet, so maybe... But I would change it for a V8000 ANY DAY

It's only MX4200 that has RF tube, MX8000 has: Pin code, STB controller, 1780 p teletext, 4/3 and 16/9 support, camcorder input, active speaker, HDR2 support, OSD and auto tune and naming. optional: Master link, anti reflex, 5,1 DD and DTS, modulator (if Master), DVB-S, on some old sets: STB controller.

Yes it's possible to change the power supply if it's still available. or you can get a local repair man to fix it. it's a Phillips so no problem for him.

Change the small caps on the primary side of the coil 1uF to 47uF, thats a start, sounds like a typical swish mode failure...

Hej velkommen til beoworld. det er BV7-40" mkIII der er full HD du kan kende den på det hvide display i højre side, og at den har 4 HDMI stik. den kom ca i september sidste år

If it's a Avant VCR then remove the tape cassette

It's because the sound sent down the scart is the last source you used. So if it TV then DVD you will hear TV sound, SAT then DVD it's SAT's sound you get...
