If they are really mucky try Solvo Autosol first then a bit of baby oil to keep a nice sheen.

Im hoping its something simple like an option issue but there is a slight problem with a Beocenter 9000 I have just got. It works perfectly but when turned off the two green lights for the volume adjust stay lit, they dim, but stay lit. Im sure they should go out. I thought that maybe it was set in option for a particular type of setup but I cant seem

Top work. I wish I could do things like this

The only option is a CD50 with the optional remote control. The remote was very rarely specified when new and nigh on impossible to find now. Its not just the remote control, the CD50 must have the remote board fitted also. Then you have the fact that the CD50 will break down as they are not that reliable. You would be much better off buying a CD6500

Im not expecting perfect hifi from them but just for them to be as good as they can be. I bought them from the original owner together with my BM900k and 41v deck along with all the original paperwork and brochures so they will make a nice little vintage system.

Thanks Martin, I will renew them to get them sounding tip top.

Does anybody have any ideas as to what capacitors may be inside a pair of type B speakers? I fancy replacing the ones in mine to get them sounding as new again. Has any one ever done a cap job on a pair of these. I know they wont be super duper audiophile quality but my 900 will be coming back from Martin soon I want to use the type B's with it

I would love a nice valve set. Something like the ones in Martins restoration threads. I dont know why but they look so nice and I bet the cricket would sound great on one. That and a 103 inch Beovision, 4 BL5's and a house big enough to put it in. I wouldnt mind an Aston Martin with the B&O stereo either.
