The problem isn't the product it's the software driving it. I'm quite optimistic about the system as it can easily evolve into what it needs to be. The big question is will this happen. I believe that B&O wants this to happen but the question is if they can catch back up with the needs of their customers based on their existing software

Beo-ap, I'm not using Lintronic right now but have used it extensively in the past and agree that it's an extremely reliable and capable unit. I think the best thing about Lintronic is the additional ability to connect with communication protocols like serial. This opens up alot of possibilities. I can't wait to get my hands on the new Masterlink

That's good news. My understanding is that B&O has switched from an older software platform (Linux?) to an easier one for coding so that updates will be easier to implement as well as more frequent for us.

When my dealer went to upgrade my BS3 to the new software (6.11) they were advised by the North America B&O office not to. So I ended up with just 5.08. Anyone know of any issues?
