I find the lack of connections on the modern stuff really annoying - just one aux in - is there an autosense switchbox that anyone knows of - I remember reading a while back that someone was going to make one - we have them for scart sockets so an audio one would be really useful

A.Aux might be the command - it's how I access Aux on my 9500

IMHO I use lintronic box controlling an Onkyo Dock which outputs the display to my Avant so can control it through Beo4, change tracks, select artists etc through the Avant - best of all the Lintronic can take commands from the Avant, so the whole lot is controllable through the link system from anywhere - really useful on the bedroom and kitchen TV's

If I could work out how to post a picture of it I would. Also got an old Pioneer DV 717 controlled through a lintronic box - very large DVD player but really

One last question - looking at the price of Beolab 8000's on e-bay they seem quite reasonable and the Beolab 8000 in some ways is more attactive so wondered if these would these be a better buy than the Penta 3's or should I go for Penta 3 - I really want to get a big punchy sound and have been hooked on them since I heard my friends Beovox

Hi Peter Brilliant, thanks, that's set my mind at rest and stopped me bidding on something I might regret. Thanks again Andrew
