As has been said before, it all depends on the kinds of music you listen to, as well as the kind of speakers you have (and the size of the room). I have a pair of Lab3's along with a Lab2, and the Lab2 REALLY rounds out the sound. The Lab2 is unnecessary if you have Lab9s or Lab5s... But a Lab2 REALLY does open up the kinds of sounds (as RPatton

Thanks for sharing! I love avante-garde designs, but (and I tend to think I get my eye for design from my father, who is a graphic artist, and has impeccable taste), he would look at those and say: "Design for the sake of design is pointless." B & O, as well as other companies, a la obviously, Apple, tend to focus on design as a part of

I have heard that Dinalight is B & O compatible, lucky you if you're in EU, because unfortunately, it's not available in the US from what I have heard. -Sal

Well, sort of the kind of question that maybe belongs in this thread... I haven't yet upgraded to Leopard, but I want to maybe for the sole purpose of using screen sharing to help my parents sometimes when they need help with their Mac (much better than struggling over the phone and trying to explain how to do things). Initially, I thought it was also a BS9000, but one of the 12 spring-loaded CD clamper pairs along the inside edge of the aluminum plate, but then I recalled the aluminum plate is curved like the CDs themselves... now, I'm at a loss... let me think a bit more..

Lintronic is a VERY VERY flexible device. As has been stated below. A simple Radio Shack power adapter will do. The "Configurator" is the application you use to program the Lintronic455-238, unfortunately, the app is windows only. So if you have a preintel mac, you'll need Virtual PC and Windows XP as well as a keyspan serial to USB adapter

If you want to go this route (I did, back in 2001 when I purchased a complete Beosystem 6500 from eBay and it turned out that the turntable and the MCP did not function), send your items to the Soundsmith, in Peekskill, NY. They fixed all my items to new. -Sal

The Stig - ver. 1.5: It's because there is a black bar in the top and bottom, (16/9) Good lord! I feel so silly! The blacks are really black on my Mac! -Sal

Yes, if your Beosound is only one year old, it is N.Music capable. Mine is a tad over 3.5 years old and it is Mk.III, so yours is definitely MK.III as well. The interesting bit is getting iTunes to work instead of the Beoport application on the PC, I hope others can help you with that. Cheers!

In the following Beovision 8 video , are my eyes playing tricks on my in the first right to left wipe, when a beolab 3 on an aluminum stand passes quickly by... does it seem to have it's acoustic lens crown disappear into itself? It is definitely facing us.... Does anyone else see that? -Sal
