Hello repairers Got myself a Beomaster 3400 (quad) and there's no service manual on site. Although I do have a lot of schematics myself this one isn't there. I got those a long time ago from a repair shop. If they didn't have it they've never seen one in reality - must have been a pretty reliable one (or a rare one) And no envelope inside
The original is tough to find in the states, and expensive when you do!
Jaff, I find it not so hard to get some replacements here in Germany - and they aren't too expensive. This is a "photo cell". In Germany you can get it e.g. here: VARTA V74PX Not intended to be an ad though - just to be aware
Is it possible for other BeoWorlders living "nearby" to visit the muesem at the same time as the "chosen few"? Sure could be fun to actually meet some of you
Maybe Lee can arrange something "around" as those who have a decent amount of travel distance might stay e.g

hey ... can't believe this ... A first in more than 4 1/2 years - a winner! That'll make my first holiday since 2003 And some of the wed crew on line Really looking forward to this - it's still a surprise packet but that sounds perfectly interesting Thanks alot for this opportunity, Gunther
they also measure 1,7V e->c
Did you leave the base floating? 0.1V are easily catched when left open and then they trigger the transistor - even with the voltmeter only. (Was learning by doing for myself too - my germanium days are way back now... Anyone remembers the black OC something's?) Ground the
the breakdown voltages measure about 0,15V on both transistors
I have some AC151r's that should be a replacement for both the AC126 and the AC107 (as far as I can read beaker's schematic) They have 180mV measured on B-C and B-E so the 0.15V aren't too bad. And looking at the supply it shouldn't
Does anyone know if there is a difference between the 2?
Yeah, and a big one. The 2000 is a Masterlink speaker, the 2500's are powerlink-connected. So you will need an extra Beolink active to connect the 2500's via Masterlink. The only other Masterlink speaker I know of is the BL3500. Soundwise I can't
I would never work on something as ugly as those speakers.
And if I would have known you hate one of my preferred speakers you would have had to look for the ZL33 replacement on your own

Hallo Meise My databook recommends the ZX33 as a replacement. Not easy to find but available. If you have some commercial contacts: Bürklin has them, just checked... If not I might be able to get them but depending on our next order that might take some time. It says 12.5W BTW. I have found some old ITT ZL22 in my fund but they won't be of
