• LX Menu

I have an LX5500 software 2.1S. What are the A B & C counters showing after pressing menu 00 go? I have A 2055 B 0004 and C no reading. Anyone know what these numbers represent? Are they service counters or other parameters? David
I don't think SAT ever did anything unless you have a Beosat module installed. Certainly doesn't in my MX6000.
The LX/MX5500 (which could also have an in-built Beosat module) had SAT in the menus and could be allocated to either scart - logical for an external satellite box. The Avant is the same. For

  • Re: LX5500 focus

Thankyou very much both. I am pleased to hear that it is probably not the tube! A question of repair or replacement of the boards? There will no doubt be plenty of parts available from salvaged sets. The video board has been replaced. I have a 4500 that is much sharper and I would like the 5500 to be as good

  • LX5500 focus

My LX is not as sharp as it could be and varies a little as the TV warms up. I have adjusted the focus control on the tube neck thanks to the excellent thread by Die Bogener but this control is now at its maximum level. Does this mean the tube is on its way out? I also have an orange mark showing up at the bottom right of the screen when there is red

...But the AV button on the beo4 does not work in the same way so cannot be used for this function. A source button has to be used to change mode for volume and muting - again as Tournedos says you have to use two hands or move the remote because these are all at the top. list>link>source is yet another awkward one. BL1000 had link right in the

Yes, mute is very clumsy on the Beo4 even when you know where it is - unlike the BL1000. Beo4 loses the ability to change from audio to video (and vice versa) sources quickly for volume/muting purposes which can be done using the BL1000 AV button. If there's a Beo4 short cut tip for this I'd be very interested.

shift>standby does not work using my beo4. Holding the red button does though - a useful tip and not something I remember reading in the BL1000 or beo4 manuals. Many Thanks David

  • Beo4 and BL1000

I can bring everything to standby (link, audio and video) by pressing shift>standby on a BL1000 - How is this done on a Beo4?

Many thanks Peter. I have two and both have the freezing problem - they are also very fussy about DVD-RW's David
