....when you see something on Ebay that you previously had no interest in buying and try to figure out a way to work it into your system. You buy it anyway and it just sits in the spare room.
That could be me you are talking about! I already have two pairs of Beovox' s I don't use (in addition to the five

I didn't draw the same conclusion from the article that you did! B&O now own the patents but it will be interesting to see whether they have done this to maintain a competetive advantage or if the technology will start popping up everywhere like ICEPower amplifiers or (many years ago) Dolby HX Pro. I love the fact that thay are doing something different with laptop design as most 'designer' PC laptops haven't gone much beyond the purely cosmetic like fancy case design. I think this laptop is aimed squarely at environments where a desktop PC/Monitor wouldn't work in design terms rather than as a truly portable machine, and given

John Have you by any chance been waiting a very long time to make a post like that? Simon
I agree that in the future we will not own "New music" in the sense that we do now. The advances in miniaturised storage will make it unnecessary and people are also used to tapping into a common pool for entertainment. Something will be lost however, there are some who like to own physical copy of performances
