• Re: Australian Used B&O Market...

I would suggest puting a tech in with the container and send it to Melbourne or Sydney. Failing the tech putting up with the voyage maybe align yourself with a service agent or agency somehow. pm if you need further details... beoaus...

  • Re: Apple TV via BV7-40MKII Digital sound problems - Toslink to coaxial
I have also used the Jaycar Toslink to S/PDIF to connect a PS3 into the BV7-40 Mk2 and it works very well. However, both the audio and video go into AV4 and everything can be setup in the config menu. I think that this is the proven way to go and I don't think that you can run the other two inputs (camcorder and A4

  • Re: Apple TV via BV7-40MKII Digital sound problems - Toslink to coaxial
The digital inputs on the mkII 7-40 (and the mkI) can only decode surround sound signals. Standard 2-channel PCM (what the Apple TV spews out) isn't supported.
Sure about this? I think others are using the AppleTV via SPDIF in BV740-MKII. If so does that mean movies get 5.1 but you can't listen to music

  • Apple TV via BV7-40MKII Digital sound problems - Toslink to coaxial

I have seen a few threads on something similar though none have helped as yet. My AppleTv is connected via the Camera connectors on a BV7-40MKII. Sound is also via one of these http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=AA1720&keywords=toslink&form=KEYWORD (A4 on the optical in) as well as the RCA plugs. Problem is I can't get optical sound

  • Re: BV7 40 MK11 link problems

Problem solved. It was not the software update. Started the slave TV in this case a MX7000 before the BS9000, and other link systems. The BV7 (Video Master) was the last. Seems the order fixed the problem. Complete fluke that I found the resolution. beoaus.

  • Re: HDMI switchers
If I bought the Gefen switch would I loose one of the above in order to control it. Or does the 7.7 software allow the Gefen switch to be used as a 3rd box that can be controlled, effectively bypassing the 2 PUC limitation? This is the stumbling block in buying the gefen splitter.
I ran a few tests on the BV740

  • Re: HDMI switchers

I'm still confused... I have V.AUX set to control a Panasonic DMR-BW500 and DTV to control Foxtel Digital (SKY Plus). That is the 2 PUC's on a BV7-40MKII and two i'd rather not loose. If I bought the Gefen switch would I loose one of the above in order to control it. Or does the 7.7 software allow the Gefen switch to be used as a 3rd box

  • Re: BeoWorld and B&O..

My view is that it is 50/50 as to whether B&O will survive another 2 or more years. Indicators are not great. Product and marketing decisions in the last few years have been ill advised and not successful. I would hope the offer is based around B&O taking ownership of their many stuff ups and moving forward on a new path along with significant

  • Re: Format issue with v.aux and apple tv

There are differences between the Scart connectors on a BV3. Its similar to the Avant I owned. Try to track down the technical settings from the original annual brochure for the year the BV3 was purchased. It conveniently lists the technical details of each connector. beoaus

  • Re: HDMI switchers

Maybe over to Keith to clarify then. ...Must admit I was surprised about the BV7-40 MKIV, thought it would be capable of controlling 4 additional devices... beoaus.
