There is new information about the Beosound 5. B&O is also recommending Iomega StorCenter NAS for storing music files. Here is the link. Click the July video. The Beosound 5 information is towards the end of the video. http://www.bang-olufsen.com/beonews-broadcast
Linder - I have got my Beosound 5 working as an Airplay speaker via my iPad, iPhone and iTunes on my Mac. Just purchased the adapter at the link below then hooked it up to an Airport Express. Now I use the Airplay feature from link rooms so I can see and select my audio and then use the Beosound 5/Beomaster 5 when

I have tried with varying success many of the apps suggested. However does anyone know if B&O is releasing apps or at least more information? Are the new USB cables and adapter available?
Thank god. The BC2 is a dog. The BS1 sounds awful. The 9000 is starting to look a bit tired in my opinion. Maybe these will force the company to start bringing some innovative, modern products to the market.
I think your analysis is correct but what innovative modern product will there be? It is really odd there

I still buy CDs because I want lossless music on my Mac and Beosound 5. After ripping, the CDs go into a box in storage. CDs will probably be discontinued completely in probably less than 10 years....maybe sooner.
