And when someone is watching over the repair it will take much longer as it has to be a presentation, not just a repair! At work I have a Windows 2000 server that has been running almost ten years 24/7... it's anyway in a state that I prefer not to even breath that way! And yes, backups are being made semi-regularily. Ah, someone else does B&O

Actually setting the headphone socket to the MCL box shouldn't be a problem at all, one of those hole-installed (screw fastened) type of headphone plugs fixed to the hole of the transceiver cable (or MCL cable, either of which fits easier) should do nicely! The wires (and resistors) could be soldered to the speaker connectors board on the left thereby

@Craig: that still wouldn't solve the remote control problem! That's why I am pushing the MCL2 -way. @Mika: thanks - just wanted to make sure and to see if anyone has done this yet. Also thanks for the link to the schematic. And @Jaff: I am pleased to know I am not the only one thinking of wiring B&O to my bed! Gladly all my tv's are

Story behind this idea: I use to listen my iPod a lot, especially at the evening or at night in bed with headphones. I have almost all my music on CD's and would prefer to listen those with headphones but in better quality than iPod. Also sometimes I'd like to listen to a radio which my iPod doesn't have. I now have a MCL capable BM in the

I have heard only positive comments of his service. I am about to get my first set of re-tipped cartridges (MMC4+SMMC4, visually good but sounded terribly distorted) back in a few days. I am eager to hear how they sound!

Congrats! I would recommend doing a re-cap. My Beovox 3000 panels (of which I like very much!) get audibly better since replacing caps in the cross-over and also the foam gasket between the halves of the speaker (I used thin double-sided tape).

I have now been using the BM+CD 7000 comb. almost daily for several hours a day. Usually just after connecting mains (I have the audio setup on an extension cord with master switch) the remote range is very bad and it needs several tries to get a command thrue. Especially adjusting volume is a pain; pressing up on BL7000 steps up the reading on the

See this thread . If you are not technically minded and/or experienced I wouldn't recommend trying yourself!

I had a CD50 for a while. It shouldn't take more than 10 seconds to read the disc, even on that old player, and jumping means it's not reading the disc well. I would recommend cleaning the lens of the laser (search this forum or google, just be gentle and have it powered off!!). There are also some microswitches that sense if the drawer is open

There are several belts (I think three) inside the mechs. and I would replace them all just to be sure. They are almost 20 years old, anyway. The smallest belt that is situated on the top of the mechanism (which I think you wrote about) is the tape movement sensor that causes the auto-stop to kick in when the tape ends (=stops moving). Replacing it
