Hi Doc, Sorry, I don't know about the BV7, however the avant built-in dvd player cannot be opened with the beo4 if a disc is charged (only opens automatically if the tray is empty) but now I can open it with my Beo5 by using the IR command "eject" Good luck.

MartinW: I wouldn't be at all put off by the number of error messages that the config software kicks up - mine does about 3 error messages every time I update the remote. Hi Martin, you can read here how I've found a solution for all those errors. good luck!

I voted option 3. Using lot of times the software for "fine tuning" the Beo5 is a fact, because each configuration is so personal and very difficult to reach the final setup desired, I think the customer must have this essential tool (if he wants, of course). Mine has already 124 configuration software downloads...

stefan: I have borrowed one from my dealer and programmed 2 soft keys: 0:000:VTR:CNTL_WIND and....REWIND (yellow and green) with arrows left/right. It`s exactly what you did. Should also work with hard keys..(?)...Maybe you could try to change the adress: 0:000:TV:CNTRL_WIND ....REWIND..but I don`t really know. Good Luck Stefan No luck here Stefan I

Stefan you've solved 2 of the 3 problems I had with my beo5 !!!!!! The third problem (relating some Beo5 hard keys) is explained with detail from here on Do you have any idea? Thank you in advance.

stefan: Santiago, tell the configuration tool you have a BV 7. This will create a "Picture"-button including submenu with all the buttons mentionened before.
