• Re: Beosound 9000 - CD Error 2

Since I last posted on this subject I have replaced a number of BS9000 CD mechs. B&O do several kits which are each specific to the serial number of the actual 9000 involved. The kits will upgrade and convert any 9000 to the same spec as the MkIII model. Make sure that you quote the serial number of the faulty 9000 so that you end up with the correct

  • Re: Beocenter 9000 strange behaviour - Help needed

I agree with the above plus the mute relay is probably faulty and the tape belt/belts have deteriorated with age. Possibly perished and stuck to the drive wheel/s or fallen off! Member Dillen can supply you with a belt set and the mute relay is available from Maplin Electronics (in the UK)

  • Re: I think tis is better deal !

@JONNIE You have a very jaundiced view of running a small business selling pre-owned B&O or any other small business. How do you know that this seller is making "healthy profits". By the time he has paid all his dues, he will be lucky if he has enough left to fill his bath, never mind a swimming pool or two. Ebay fees, paypal fees, 20

  • Re: BEO4 setup - radio, cd, a tape functions don't seem to work?

I suspect that the Beo4 has keyboard problems. The remote is faulty. As far as I know, there is no way to disable the buttons on the remote and no way to enable them. The setting up functions on the remote merely control what additional functions are present when you press LIST (a quicker ADD/REMOVE function) View the IR emitters with your mobile phone

Your activities amount to gross desecration of iconic products. If it was up to me, B&O would be sueing you. You are gradually trashing some of the most superb designs of our age. Now , it would appear, you are about to start on the Ouverture, with plastic doors and strange colours

  • Re: Adjust Beolab 6000 after change of woofers

You will need an audio signal generator as well as the DVM to do the job. If you dont have the equipment then just leave the adjustment alone. You will probably quite appreciate the bass boost that is normally achieved!

To borrow a phrase from the antiques world, I think that this item may be a marriage? But between what??
Earlier, I checked that the type number should match the title, and gave up... Oops, OK, where's my 9500 white stripe???
Correct Mika. No white stripe.
