• Re: The BeoSound 8 - Live Review!!!

As per usual, judgements are formed on BeoWorld before people have even seen the product in the flesh. I'm withholding ANY judgement until I see it in person - I'd rather not let photographs sway my view of the design, as if I were to buy one (if I wasn't a student!) then I'd probably be looking at it in the flesh, not in photographs

  • Re: Is B&O stopping to produce wonderful mechatronic?

IMO, the magic now happens in the software side of things - ever since home media went 95% digital, B&O have had to re-focus their efforts on the software back-end of their products. How can a BeoSound 5 be mechanical? It practically is as it stands, just mostly on a screen... The BeoVision 10 is no less 'mechanical' than most of B&O's

  • Re: Beolab 11 opinions
not obvious as a subwoofer - very subdude
This is exactly what a subwoofer should do for music. Music was recorded for stereo speakers - left & right. If you can hear your subwoofer, then you're hearing three speakers, which isn't right! Subwoofers are only there to make up for the shortfalls of

  • Re: SPEAKER 4 vs SPEAKER 2

The adjustment is fairly coarse in comparison to the overall requirement needed for good transient response (ie, snappiness on drum hits, for example). I'm not actually sure if the delay compensation even does anything in speaker 4, can anybody confirm whether it's actually on or not? Even if it does, it's far from what I'd consider

  • Re: Saw a pic today!! BS8
However, you are a "marketing and brand manager" and I'm just an IT guy who loves B&O, and thinks that any product that relies on sound quality, experience etc etc will not get a fair first impression from a crappy phone pic on the internet.
It would seem the iPod dock market doesn't really

  • Re: SPEAKER 4 vs SPEAKER 2

I would never want to 'listen' to stereo music (ie, non-surround-sound content) in speaker 4 mode. For parties, yes, and for background music, absolutely, but for true 'listening' - never. Why? Well firstly the sound is arriving at your ears twice. Usually, the rear speakers are closer to your ears than the front ones, so the sound from

  • Re: BeoVision 10-32

As a guess, I would say the BeoVision 10-32 IS capable of decoding surround sound signals, but it just plays them back in stereo. Maybe there isn't enough space for the extra D/A converters + volume controlling...

  • Re: BeoVision 10-32 in 32-inches official !

You'll love it...it's a very small 32", but looks great!
No, a 17" TV is very small, this is a normal sized TV.
I may be a smidgin past 20 years old, but I remember being blown away by my uncle's brand-new 32" widescreen TV only 8 years
