Sounds an awful lot like the advice given by the Apple apologists: "If you have problems [which is always downplayed as "minor"] shut up and eat it, or at least return it or have it swapped, but don't *** about because we only want to hear positives" It's a TV. If you need to shop around, having your tv swapped numerous times
Fine! everybody has his right to his own opinion. Yours isn't mine greetings
Not mine either. This is the reason I am so giddy about the Encore, I so want it to come above my TTB, because I have liked the BS5 since it came out, but never bought one because it just wasn't "good enough". It was

There's a crucial difference between the lack of support for Spotify and lack of support for Apple Lossless. Spotify isn't available around here. In fact, it's not available in most of the world. Podcast support (including subscriptions) and Apple Lossless seems to be more general things (even if I don't use Apple Lossless anymore).
It is my overoptimism and unconditional admiration for B&O or they are really moving lighting fast (for B&O standards) adopting new technologies. I see this as very positive, if a company gets surrounded by brilliant partners somehow it gets "infected".
I have the same impression. They really

Hmm, looks like you're right that Windows Explorer aren't able to read it properly. I use Bridge mostly, and there I have it all. ------------- I never noticed that before (because of Bridge) so I decided to do a little search, and this is what I came up with: http://www.softpointer.com/AudioShell.htm http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm The dbpoweramp
That'll be culturally difficult and there's not much pressure - everybody else is expected to "embrace" Apple by its customers, while Apple itself can do this as difficult as possible without getting much flak (pardon the pun).
I agree. Well put.
I haven't
Oh yeah, that's really going to happen. Apple loosen its grip? I wouldn't hold my breath...
LOL, me neither. The continual increase in control from Apple's side is one of the most important reasons I jumped ship after more than twenty years on the platform. Other reasons include all the workarounds becoming
Maybe B&O should buy Apple and start running them right! (-;
Ha ha! I agree!
Why?
My thoughts exactly. Here's a link to just some of the devices that support FLAC: http://flac.sourceforge.net/links.html There are many other, of course, but it's a matter of supporting it. Granted, if you're on a Mac, Flac support is cumbersome at best to make it work across the board. Perhaps

I use lossless on my portable stuff too. I do that because it's easier to use whatever I have, and since my Cowon D2 uses SDHC cards up to 32GB it's pretty easy to have a lot of stuff with me on a couple of cards - Enough, anyway.
