Hi Mika, Thanks for the clear explanation! I did not know that yet, this made things a lot clearer! Just like I said, learning new stuff all the time, and it's great! The running hot seems a clear case of drifted idle current, so I guess everything will be fine after adjusting. Thanks!

Wow, Mika, thanks for the quick reply! great, just the info I needed! Do you happen to know a way to adjust the offset, I can't find any pots for it. It's probably fine but I'd like to check it. It should be as close to zero as possible if I'm right? I did these adjustments to a BM6000 with great success once, it seems quite the same

Hi all! I checked my service manual but I can't find any reference voltages/test points for the adjusting of the idle current of beomaster 1200 power amp. (BM is running hot, so I'll replace trimpots and electrolytic caps and readjust) I have a working one, so I can take reference voltages from that one if no one knows. But, I don't know

Try to contact member Dillen. You can also try to loosen it (after desoldering) but be real careful, I broke mine trying!

Check the switching solenoid inside the player, on the PCB. If you do a search for solenoid and beogram 3000 it should come up. I had the same problem. These sometimes get stuck. You might be able to loosen it, might also be so stuck it'll have to be replaced. Good luck!

Count me in too! This is great, thank you Beoworld, and thank you B&O! Got the confirmation message twice by the way, a bit odd. Good luck everyone!

Groeten!

I have both types of speakers, If you want to use the 75 stands you'll have to drill two holes in the 45 because on s75 the holes are wider apart. It would work though, even though it might look odd, the S75 stand is a lot bigger compared to the S45. Just like the speakers themselves. Good luck!
I never sell but give things to people I like. Then I know it has gone to a good home!
True! I'd like to do so, but unfortunately my friends either only like the modern stuff, or are silly audiophiles that feel a B&O is not high end enough for them... besides, I'm still a student, so I can't really
