Innovus customer service was very helpful. The 110V reference is a typo - the product only works on 220-240V. However, they say it should work in North America if connected to a step-up transformer. Also, a surprising announcement: "Innovus" no longer exists and the SmartDimmer is no longer in production. The company is now "QEES"

The problem with the Lutron solutions are that they are expensive and/or do not work with most B&O remotes (Beo5 excepted, as it's programmable). Other choices are available, however. 1) Find a B&O LC1 light controller, sometimes they appear on eBay. Going prices for good used ones between $150-200. 2) Buy a compatible dimmer from Europe

The Nokia 9110/9210/9290 Communicators had the speaker/microphone on the opposite side of the keypad/display arrangement. I used to have one and loved it. It seems odd at first only because every other phone model in existence does it the traditional way; after trying it, however, I preferred it over the old method. More ergonomic, IMO, and helps to

In regards to the question of whether the Innovus RAOne Smartdimmer works on 110V, their website gives conflicting information. On the website ( http://www.innovus.eu/index.php?id=130 ), it says that it works on "110 - 240 VAC", but in the pdf tech document ( http://www.innovus.eu/fileadmin/user_upload/manual/z-wave/smartdimmer-00110001-tech

From what I gathered over half-an-hour's research, there are two categories of "LED" screens - 1) a conventional LCD but using LED's as a lighting source rather than fluorescent lamps, and 2) an actual LED screen made up of individually lighted pixels, as in Sony's OLED TV. The first category can be done in two ways - 1) by placing

I'm getting borderline insane. Everyday I log on to BeoWorld, hoping for new news about the BV10. Arrrghh....! Leo

20%? I guess you don't live in the US. Chicago has the highest rate in the country and it's "only" 10.25%. In most places it's between 6-8%. Some people are debating about the merits of the rising screen. Here's another reason! I have my TV against a window and height of the TV blocks some of the view. With a screen that drops

One has to think about all the commercial venues in which light-dimming ability is essential - movie theatres, fancy restaurants and hotel rooms, B&O dealerships... I hope future legislation will take into account these places and let manufacturers keep making and selling a steady stream of incandescents. Leo ps. LED bulbs that will come on the

It is worse in North America - we never even got the LC2. And try as I might, I couldn't find a company which makes a similar product compatible with the Beo4... except for one company which does home integration systems for $$$, and seems to be in a partnership with B&O. Not effective if I don't want to rewire the house and only need to

Thanks Dave, sounds enticing! Looking towards the future, if I replaced my current TV with a model that supports surround sound (eg. BeoVision 8-40 or 10), and get rear speakers, how would the speakers then be connected? Would the front pair still be connected to the BeoSound, and the rear pair to the BeoVision? I'm actually fantasizing for the
