  • Re: Bang & Olufsen Rises on Report of Possible Takeover Interest

Apple wouldn't care for B&O's ICEPower amps. They already use Class D amplifiers in their iMacs, and I suspect the MacBooks and MacBook Pros also use Class D amplification. ICEPower would make no difference to the current Apple laptops, all their speakers are just over-glorified headphones...

  • Re: Connecting a B&W PV1 subwoofer to a PowerLink socket

Behringer do a professional class crossover called the CX3400, which works very well. Can't say I've come across any 'consumer' crossovers, the CX3400 would do the job, but you'd need the correct cables made up (it uses XLR connections). The older ones don't sound too good (quite 'brittle') but the latest ones (which must have different components)

Flappo The Grate: that's not as crazy as it may sound they sell bno speakers and headphones at the apple store online who knows ?? maybe jonny ive is a big bno fan and will get uncle steve to buy him sotheing to play with ?? It's not the kind of thing Apple would do. The only time Apple have taken over other companies is when they want to use their

Somehow though, I can't quite see a takeover happening. Whilst things clearly haven't gone as well as B&O expected, they're still financially sound...

  • Re: Beovision 4 65"

The automatic sound adjustment is a feature of the BeoLab 5s, not the TV. The other B&O speakers offer a simplified version of this in the form of the position switches. I think you'd appreciate automatic colour adjustment after several years of owning a plasma. The colours do tend to deviate over time and the whole screen eventually gains a yellow

Only thing I've ever bought from Lifestyle AV was my CD7000, but they were fantastic! Highly recommended (and Lee is a top banana).

  • Re: I made a few adjustments to make my set up sound better!

beomud: Thanks everyone for their comments! Beobird, thanks for the Vibrapod link. How's the Vibrapod different to other speaker spikes? Peter, during the audition of the BL9, while I think the sound is amazing, and the bass being more defined (than the BL2) it sound a little more hollow (or "cold") compared to the BL8000. The other thing

  • Re: The future of my Beolab 4s (PC)

I really wouldn't! BeoLab 4000s and 4s are an absolute world apart in terms of sound, and all the BL4s are going to do is spoil the sound of the 4000s. I don't think there is a minijack > PL converter. You could always wire one but you'll get a loud pop when you switch the system on, plus the BeoLab 4s will run at a different volume to the BL4000s.

  • Re: Beomaster 4400

Ouch. Well, there's a few local(ish) engineers who could probably look at it. I assume that all the components which could have caused this issue are still available?

  • Re: Beomaster 4400

Craig: Yes , I remember your post when you purchased it. Craig Bad news - took it out last night (it's been in it's box for about a year, in a warm(ish) dry cupboard) and the darn thing doesn't work! No sound at all. I get a pop when I switch the whole thing off with the speaker switch still down, but none of the sources (FM included) produce any sound
