  • Re: B&O are ready to ship BeoSound 5

Puncher: Mind you don't trip over all the wires Yep, that's the big problem with my apartment. The number of wires behind my BV7-40 is incredible. Problem with rented accomodation in the UK is that we're not allowed to put cables in to the walls etc. Surely this BS5 should be able to connect to the BM5 wirelessly? It's only 'controlling'

TripEnglish: I think that pejoratively remarking that an audio playback device "only" plays back audio is a bit silly With all due respect Trip, only a few weeks ago you were having a go at the BS5. You blow hot and cold. Want me to find the post? For me, and for the price, it needs to do a lot more than store my audio tracks and enable me

  • Re: BV7-40 price drop??

That's interesting. The image does somewhat suggest a BV7-40 without DVD player. Can anyone read Danish and translate? :)

  • Re: BeoLab 2

The_Beonic_Man: I find myself amazed by this statement but I believe you since you have the speakers and I do not. Makes it very difficlt to know what to buy for s surround sound setup though for the BV7-40. Why amazed? A BL2 doesn't add much to the playback of audio CDs. In fact, it makes the sound more 'dull'. It can't keep up with

  • Re: Beolab 6000 v Beolab 4000 speakers - Which would you go for ???

I was never a big fan of my BL6000s. Can really remember how the performed now, but I've never looked back since moving up to the BL3s. I think they sounded 'flatter' than the BL3s. If you're going to consider 4000s, why not consider a mint second hand BL3s?

The_Beonic_Man: Yes I like the BS5, I am considering one for myself although if I get it I'll probably use it in the bedroom or kitchen. Not sure its good enough to replace the BS9000. Can't quite decide yet. Its a bit small and I like things to make a statement! Where do you intend to put yours Lorup? Simon. BS5 does very little apart from

  • Re: BeoLab 2

Alex: Depends entirely on the main speakers used. It will never sound 'poor' without a subwoofer, just often lacking in bass. The BL3s sound better without the BL2. In fact, most of the more recent B&O speakers sound better without the BL2.

TripEnglish: I'd say that an SD dvd player.. Trip, that's a long long long time away. 5+ years. By then, I'd have traded in this 'future proof' TV for another :)

avus17: Would a new BeoVision 7 40'' be more future prove with new MeoSystem 3 and Blue Ray player? Absolutely nothing is 'future proof'. How can it be? The future is indefinite. If you're happy with the BV7-32, why upgrade? Of course there will be a massive difference between a MK1 BV7-32 (which I used to own) and a BV7-40 MKIII
