Under the platter there are 3 equidistant copper leaf springs with adjustment screws at the ends furthest away from the platter. Screw them down and they lift the platter height at that point. Chris.

The lower belt is fitted wrong. The upper side of it (looking at your picture) should go round the other side of the brass pully. See THIS THREAD for a pic of a BC2000 which has identical belt configuration. Chris.

Follow Ray's advice as above and adjust the weight in accordance to the cartridge/stylus you have . Recommended tracking weights are as follows:- MMC5 - 1.5g MMC3 & MMC4 - 1.2g MMC1 & MMC2 - 1.0g He's right in saying that 1.5g is a safe bet though as a lot of original B&O MMC cartridges are probably worn beyond the recommended tracking

lausvi: EDIT; By the way, is there a way to open the cassette/cd -covers from the remote? I have a Beolink 1000 and BC9000. I have seen a B&O ad where this happens (could have been arranged somehow) so is this possible? I think if you press CD or Tape when there is no CD or tape in the beocenter it opens automatically - not sure though as it is

There's plenty of options for different colourways and the CX range definately lend themselves easily to this. I have spoken to Craig on the phone re:- his CX100's (white) and I'm sure he'll be fine. He's pretty damned handy so the job will be a good 'un. A good quick tip is to rub in a very small amount "Fairy Power Spray"

No, the MMC20** range (&MMC10E) have a totally different fitting - spade on the tonearm as opposed to pins on the MMC1 - 5 range. The same applies to the MMC3000/4000/5000 & 6000 - all spade connectors. The only cartridges that will fit are MMC1,2,3,4 &5's Chris.

KingOfSnake: tournedos: Chrisreunion: Guess where I will buy my earphones?? I'm sure they don't care too much as long as you buy them. Meanwhile, they will probably find new customers at Apple, without giving a sign that the value would be somehow diminishing, which would be inevitable if the prices went down generally. Anything but illogical

Christian: Barkelite, which is Barkelit in Danish. Barkelite was the material used with the first Beolit. I posted a quote from wikipedea, but that one got stuck in the mod.filter. Try google barkelite youself. Hi Christian, it got filtered due to the number of links. I've approved it Chris.

I have to agree with both Lee & Graham, once you start messing with this type of anodised surface you will make it far worse than the few scratches you have now - you'll DEFINATELY regret it. Chris.

I have Craig. What colour are they? Chris.
