7.2 or the new 7.6. You will get a stereo speaker then.

No, but getting used to it. Nice set though and recommended thoroughly for picture quality. Playing with the Penta settings and the speaker balance has improved it, but has not totally eliminated my concerns. Congratulations on the 10,000 by the way!

What you have there is MCL30. This was one of the early link systems used by B&O and allowed you to control the Beomaster 3000 and attached peripheral units in another room or two. Pretty basic, one way control and the parts for it are very rare. Doesn't attach to a TV and allow control.

Wonderful job! I might give up my BL7000 now!

To help such a technician, the full 9500 service manual has been scanned and is on site. You need to be a silver or gold member to access it.

Very true but the 8000 does suffer from some poor materials - the plastic spring housing is liable to explode in a cloud of plastic fragments. The 4000 is much better made. A late 4002 would probably be the easiest to service - far less wacky electronics and a simple DC motor. Also a lot easier to take apart.

Mine came with a Beo5 but, as I already had one, I gave it back and was credited. I actually am still using a Beo4 though! Clearly getting set in my ways!!

I guess the transitter is in the wrong place as my Sky HD box worked fine with an Avant using the Sky+ codes. Same STB-C as the BV3-32.

Is that not just the motorised floor stand?

Only in the BV10 and 7-55! On the whole, the picture quality seems rather good but the sound is usually the let down. I know I have been critical of the BV10 sound but it is still quite a way ahead of 'normal' TVs.
Are the 55" panels the same? B & O state for theirs
