koning: We were talking about the 8000 right? Yes, I just meant that does anyone have info about the quality of the BL9, BL5 drivers? I re read my original post, and saw it could come forward as a bit strong, sorry I did not mean it like that.

koning: I think you right on this one. What i can understand is why B&O not using better drivers?? What about the quality of the drivers in BL5 and BL9?

The quality of B&O's catalogues has really declined in my opinion. I remember the Catalogues from the 90-ties, I enjoyed them.

If this is your third unit, and if the problems where caused by dust, I think you need to hire a housekeeper! Seriously, mine is working perfectly, and spinning the CD's in the wrong direction is something I've never heard of with any Beo CD player... The CD lens is probably not user cleanable (I think) since it's not clearly visible, as

And reading the links you provided verifies I was wrong about the heads being the problem...

Tournedos: Yeah, I know they look very different inside from other makes, but I've been led to understand the components picking up the video and sound are standard components, and these are the ones making the problems? If I'm wrong I'm glad to be corrected.
