Just a follow up of this restuaration and repair. BM 6500: Throughout cleaning, changed caps. Result, better reception, better sound, faster reacting when using MCP. The problem is normaly just a matter of cleaning and relubricating the 1700, if your not a little tecnical minded, leave to someone who is, the 1700 is serviced from the underside i think, but there are manual available on Beoworld, and with a Silver or Gold membership you can download the manuals. Repaired the broken track with a piece of thin wire, connected everything works OK, and the Master command console works with it. Started again today, I got the 5.3 V on leg 9 on the IC, pressing start the motor jumps a little, by hand I help turning the platter over the start sequens, with 45 platter on. the motor starts turning slow after the start sequens, but should start emidiately after the start button is pressed, and as the start sequens involve more power to get over
