do you have to physically be at the answering machine to play the messages?
Yes. There is no "linkage" between the two.

Well, I am all for change... But... no question (and it is not familiarity) the navigation was is much better! Hopefully Hawaii can eventually be duct taped together and we can move forward. Thanks Keith!
-
Where are you located? I *might* have one.
-
Oh, very nice! I also like the stand as well! It looks like a masterpiece sitting on an easel! With the way my Avants are positioned, the motorized stands are useless!
-
Oh Graham! Congratulations! What color combo did you go with?
-
I have a pair of Avants from 2001, so a year older than the one in question. I consider them lightly used and my counters are about 2-3x your values, though you had more ON/OFF. I guess in the states -when the TV goes on... it stays on! So IMHO, I would consider very lightly used. Anyone else?
-
No minority! The BV5 was the most beautiful TV ever made by anybody! The 9 was beautiful too, but the ALT spoiled it a bit for me... should have rotated into position! RIP
-
It doesn't ring a bell... but I have been wrong before! As far as I know... B&o made a "table" for this series that is rather rare, but I don't believe they ever officially had any mounting brackets, vertical or horizontal... the horizontal, of course being redundant. Keep in mind that functionality of the CD is the problem here
-
Welcome to BeoWorld! No such animal in a vertical format. You can incline to about 35 degrees from horizontal.
Oooo. Me like 70s retro styling :D Why don't B&O knock out some 'new' U70s a la the 'new' Beetle or 'new' Mini?
How about an entire "Classic Series"? No software, no BS... just plug and play! Would sell like hotcakes! IMHO, of course!
