Christophe75: Hi there, for those of you using these wonderful speakers as computer speakers, how did you connect them, how do you turn them on/off, and how do you select volume? Thank you Christophe Optical minijack toslink to regular toslink cable from Mac to separate Digital-to-Analog-Converter (DAC). DACs can be had from GBP100 and up. I have a

I'm not on board with Ed here. The site is addictive (I know, I've been trying to kick the habit, and it's apparently impossible.) I did express some concern when the prize draws were first announced that these could prove a drain on resources, but that's not my call to make. I didn't sign up for Gold to win prizes, but to have access

Well, you'll find various stabs at explanations, some quite fanciful - that it connotes from both 'god(ly)' and 'beautiful', for instance -- but the very sensible and obvious explanation is that in Denmark the company is known as B&O (you'll rarely find anyone saying Bang & Olufsen in regular speech, for instance. And

With Remote Buddy I am controlling every single application on my Macs with that little remote and its six buttons. However, I'm still very pleased with my Mac mini, and fully aware

Justin, the Mac mini will give you almost the exact same user interface as the Apple TV, with the same commands and functions - including the ability to purchase content, through the Front Row window. This is what it looks like on mine. Apple TV is very capable and handy, I just prefer having the ability to configure my own setup, and also appreciate

The Mac mini is the best value for money of any hardware from Apple since the first Macintosh in 1984, bar none. It's a miracle of rare device -- as you can gather I'm very pleased with mine. It's connected to my HD-ready plasma and a receiver, as well as a stand-alone server, and delivers full range services of a media centre with access

Just upgraded my Airfoil to version 3.0 Some quite nice enhancements - it will now find not just your stand-alone Airport Express units and stream to those, but will also stream to computers. Which means that if you have loudspeakers attached to your computers then you can activate those, as well, if you want to have multi-room playback. Airfoil Speakers
