  • Re: Most peculiar Lab5 Vibrations

soundproof: Alex: The issue will be the meter or so gap between the speakers. You mean underneath, right? I understood it as being a space underneath the entire floor, and not just where the speakers are. It can be a problem, but doesn't have to be a total spoiler - you can even place the speakers on heavy stone slabs - often done with other speaker

The issue will be the meter or so gap between the speakers. Instead of the bass firing down onto a solid floor which will help reduce unnecessary vibrations/reinforce bass reproduction, the sound will be traveling into what is essentially a giant box (boxes + bass = disaster) - kinda like placing a subwoofer on top of a large wooden box (it's going

  • Re: Beomaster 7000

Don't you think we're getting a little over-technical considering the OP only wanted to know which speakers to buy? Again, I would recommend a bigger old pair of BeoVoxes, such as S120s or as Peter says, M100s...

  • Re: Beovision 7 mk IV

True. I think the sizes B&O have at the moment are ideal for the UK, if anything a little too big at times. Discontinuing the 6-23" was a bad move IMO, they should have looked at producing something very small like the MX1500, but with their own TV inside...

mediabobny: My advice would be to not get B&O speakers. Part of what you spend for the speaker would be for an amplifier which is redundant since the Beomaster 7000 has a perfectly respectable amplifier built in. Get whatever your favorite brand of speakers might be. That's what I've done with my Beosystem 6500. Done the same here! I use

  • Re: I am doing something wrong, is there something wrong with the speakers, or it is just bad decision?

Could just be placement. I've found them to be much more sensitive to correct placement than other B&O speakers. I'm not quite sure why it is, but it's definitely worth just trying them in some different places in the room (some rooms will naturally sound 'bad' and result in a poor sound, no matter what the system). It's also worth running them in a

  • Re: BeoSound 1 or BeoLab 4 PC

Get the BeoSound 1! You won't be disappointed... The BeoLab 4s as a package can't touch the BeoSound 1 (which is one of B&O's best products IMO!). I'd say it sounds better too...
