marcus: Tried with AV2 and V.TAPE2 as well. No joy. That is odd, did you save the settings in the SOCKETS-menu by pressing GO ? When you select V.TAPE2 on Beo4, do you see the MX7000 switch to that socket (but the screen stays black) ?

Is that connector a circular one with 5 or 7 pins ? You can use a DIN-to-RCA-connector, like this one f.e., available at electronics store. I used to use this kind of connector to get line-level signal (of a TAPE-socket) to an active (amplified) subwoofer).

Hi, Normally, that should work (V.TAPE on AV1) You could try to connect to AV2 and choose V.AUX or V.TAPE2 in the SOCKETS menu.

Just noticed (comparing BeoSystem 3 Reference Guide of the European and US version) that the US version of the BeoSystem 3 is different and doesn't seem to have the additional PCMCIA and SMARTCARD-slots. US version of BeoSystem 3 European version of BeoSystem 3 : But even without these slots, i'm pretty sure that you can control the cable-tuner
