    Actually, it has 1 x 20W bulb and 2 x 10W bulbs, so that adds up to 40W. At 12 volts, that is reached at 3.3 amps, so the resistance of the entire lamp is 3.6 ohms. Thus, a BM6500 playing a 50 Hz sine wave should be more than well able to keep two of these lit, and you could dim them with the volume control (not going to try though, as halogen bulbs

    I wanted the smaller "Double Bubble" as well and got it yesterday. It has 12V halogen bulbs and so needs a transformer. The factory has chosen a 2-pin DIN speaker plug for the connection - wonder how loud I'd have to play until it lights up?

    Oh dear... I expected disassembled, not blown apart! Can't make out if that part is broken or not, but if it is, you probably can't get it separately anywhere as the entire CD mech has been discontinued for a long time now. Probably easiest to start looking for a donor unit...

    Darn, wasn't that easy then... hopefully someone else has better ideas Could be a software level problem in the LX, but I'm not sure if there's anything that could be done about that...
