Tancred: Hey Craig. That "coffin" sounds like it could have been Dieter Ram's Phonosuper SK-4. Did it look like this: Thats the one, very nice IMO. Craig

Evening folks, sorry I am a bit late. Got a glass of ice cold Cider at the ready. Craig

Tancred: One of my best sounding items is a 1950s Braun mono console radio/phonograph. I don't know if it was designed by Dieter Rams, but it sure looks like it. Once saw a beutiful Braun stereo when I brought a Beovision on Ebay and had to pick it up. Not sure of the age or model, but I know was refered to as. Snow Whites Coffin. Craig

Erik, I have just checked and both user and service manuals are available. Craig

Glad to hear you got it working. Craig

Great, we need a prize. Just come back early form the worst holiday ever. If it could go wrong it did go wrong. Would write a list of what went wrong, but I think the servers would crash. Craig
-
Beogram CDX would also be my choice too. Just seems to work very well with older Beomasters IMO. Craig

wasti: I am astonished. Does it mean Chris that I cannot use the Beovox with any sound system without having the beolab 5000? This cannot be true ;( Please advise. The Beovox 5000's have a connection on the rear for the Beovox 2500's, as do the older type Beovox 3000's Craig

Llewelyn: I know B&O still supply them although I don't know of anywhere else! Regards Llewelyn Needed some myself a few years back. After searching, I eneded yp ordering them from my dealer. They were about £5 each I think. Craig

Peter : There is a recognised problem with earthing. You may need to earth the aerial connection - mine has an earth connection from the co-axial plug. Peter, is this the co-axial of the Sky box or the co-axial of you Avant? Craig
