What model Playstation 3 is it? If I'm right only the early models had SACD (and indeed PS2 game) compatibility. Newer models dropped backward compatibility (afore mentioned PS2 and SACD) for cost reasons. Again, if I'm right, the PS3 has good DVD, Blueray and HD Audio capabilities because of (very) regular updates and the innate multimedia

HD600's or 650's are significantly better than the Form 1's but are quite expensive (I have seen then as low as £139 in the past but a quick search at the moment shows them to be considerably more). I don't think Form 2's are a serious option for "real" listening, I agree with Simon - look at Sennheiser or Grado.

What you need for your living room is a "Beo-extension" which will allow you to sit an extra 3 metres away
