Beogram CDX without a doubt. The CDX compliments the vintage Beomasters far better than any other (the CD50 runs it a close 2nd) Things to look out for are dry solder joints, aging capacitors which may need replacing & broken left hand lid hinge (which is repairable by yours truly ) None of these problems are insurmountable. Chris.

Hassan: Do you still know Dillen?? thanks Dillen (Martin) is a site moderator. If you go to the workbench, vintage products or beogram sections of the forum you will find many of his posts there. Chris.

It used to be 8480174 but it has changed a couple of years ago. This is the part number for the bass driver only, the mid range is 8480173 but these are no longer available and B&O tend to just supply the bass driver nowadays to replace all 4. Chris.

Hi Jiri, I am in Leeds in the North of England but in all honesty I am not the best person to help you here. The person who you really need to contact with the electronics problems is member Dillen (Martin) as he has much more experience with these and will be able to diagnose & fix any problems much quicker then me! Martin is located in Copenhagen

Hi sherjann and welcome to Beoworld. It could be your cartridge which is faulty - most likely. What model is it - it should have MMC written on the top followed by a number. It could also be (if you're lucky) a simple case of loose connections in the output DIN plug of your beogram, but doubtful to be honest. Chris,

I was thinking of doing my own Penta's Mika and I'm glad you beat me to it, it seems like you've already saved me a lot of head scratching I will definately watch this thread with interest. I think Dillen was working on an upgrade Cap kit for the Penta range although I don't know how far he has got with it. Hopefully he'll be able
