Can't do better than that! Thank you!

I have what I regard as the collection of the best older B&O products, having thinned down my collection considerably. This includes: Beolab 5000 system Beolab 8000 system Beosystem 4400 Beosystem 7000 The one I would keep would be the Beolab 5000 system. Just better made than all the others - the 8000 system is very good sounding but the materials

Switch the whole thing off at the mains and then back on again - cures a multitude of sins!

You do it with the remote, not on the Beomaster. On the BL5000, it should be just the same - Sound, 1, Store

I am not completely convinced that the Beogram will be for you. Your present set up suggests that you are an audiophile and the Beogram does not lend itself easily to tweaking. The sound will be lacking very slightly compared the very best decks - record support is poor and you are limited eventually by the choice of cartridge. If you are determined

Both points quite true - though the main problem with the 5500 is that it may not like the later two way controllers (BL5000/7000). With the MCP5500 it is fine. I use a 5500 daily as the huge advantage it has over the 6500 and 7000 is the amount of connections. As well as DIN it also has a full set of RCA plugs which means it is ideal for connecting

Wonderful interview and came across, as in real life, as a really nice guy. Clearly he is not going to spill the beans on new products like the Beosound 5 lite (oops) but informative and friendly showing how far management at B&O have come. I hope all at B&O have a great Christmas!

Sounds like the amplifier. The fact it plays perfectly and comes and goes makes me think of a loose connection or solder joint.
