As I said before, I think your expectations may be too high. B&O have a smaller research and development team than, say, Pioneer or Sony. You can't expect their TV be to be 'flawless' just because it's expensive. You also can't expect B&O to be able to offer you un-compresses superior TV, if you choose analogue as your input

The_Beonic_Man: Having just done a quick Google search it is clear that there are a number of known problems with the boxes anyway. You'll find problems with anything if you search for it. Alex, for example, says that Mac Mini's have a reputation over overheating. I've used the same Mac Mini since 2005 - 24 hours a day - and it's never

The_Beonic_Man: So you have never had freezing problems Chris or had to reset? Last year I was back and forth to our dealers over a 4 month period trying to get this resolved. A Sky box will freeze from time to time. So will a Playstation 3 (more often, actually). An XBOX can too. Strangely, so does Windows, too. The problem is that it's a computer

Beofan2: To be launched spring 2009. Exceptional picture performance through a 40" full HD LCD screen with 100 / 120Hz technology, motion compensation and glare surface. Which I'm sure will be the panel that ends up in the BV7-40 MKIV, too.

The_Beonic_Man: Would be worth swapping my BV7-40 III over to the new BV8-40 I wonder? Be serious Simon. Really.
-
The_Beonic_Man: I think the 8 is a nicer design than the 7. Simon. But a poorer panel, no glass anti-reflection and fewer visionclear functions. My BV8-26 is no way near the level of my BV7-40 when watching a DVD. The colours on the BV7-40 are far more intense, as an example. It also gets dusty and dirty really easily. I find that I'm always trying

The_Beonic_Man: Honestly, sky boxes are rubbish Sure, in your opinion Simon. I have no problem with mine at all. The 'freezing' of the signal is to do with your dish, alignment and position. A few months ago, mine was 1cm out and I had the aerial guy take a look at it recently and this made a massive difference to the signal quality. Problem

TripEnglish: People keep talking about the PS3 as a good player, so maybe I'll relent and allow a video game console near me to test it out! Unfortunately it is. It's very quiet too. Problem is that it lacks infrared so can't be controlled by the Beo4/5. I have to use the Sony Blu-ray remote.

Beolab: Great signal with high bitrate like on blue-ray 17- 30Mbit/s= less artefact's. Yes, but my point was that you didn't read Rob's original problem: his dealer stated that his problem was that the incoming television signal was too poor, which resulted in lagging and 'effects' when watching TV. Rob also stated this happened

Beolab: I don´t think anyone can answer why B&o haven´t put in a descent video engine /Scaler, besides the production section at B&o in Struer. I'm sorry Beolab, but you're misleading people here. Yes, the MKII lacks the BS3. However, for some SD broadcasts, the MKII displays this content better than, say, the MKIII, which
