As mentioned elsewhere - I've managed to play iTunes encoded ALAC (lossless) files in WMP11 using the decoder listed in THIS link (you should also install one of the meta tag readers listed). Only tried a few mind but it worked OK for me (iTunes encoded ALAC files on an XP machine running up to date SP3)

I know you've expressed a preference for WAV format before and so I won't attempt to sway you further but I shall add this link (aothough a little old) for completeness sake, to round off the discussion and for others who may read this at a later date. WAV vs Lossless

It will be interesting to see how much "universal" compatibilty each manufacturer offers, if any. Potentially full, cross platform, home automation could be offered by everyone (who has signed up to the consortium).

Apologies if I'm slow and THIS (and THIS ) has already been discused. Does anyone know if B&O are working with on a remote based on this"standard"?

You've all but answered your own question - BS4 can accept either MMC or SD memory cards up to 2Gb.

Mp3's are OK - see Here , so is aac. WMA is the only lossless compression format supported . Why WAV-format, surely you are using approximately twice the hard drive space per track/album for absolutely no benefit whatsoever. WMA lossless will give bit perfect playback.

Since the standard one is often referred to as 'The Mars Bar', I think we should christen the white one 'The Milky Bar'! Andy T.
Does that make you the Milky Bar Kid? Simon
Of course
