They actually need a very long run-in, and you should check the vent in the back - can be stopped/adjusted if there's too much bass. Depends on the room, I think. Mine are quite precise - but I don't like them too close to the wall, for that reason.

The Harmony will be a pain to your brain. At least avoid the 1000, you'll thank me for it. You might want to consider the step up from Prestigo by Philips, Pronto, if you want a real high-function kit. I'm very happy with my Prestigo, and I'm using it in the dark. Actually doesn't look that bad.

Don't you mean BeoSound 4, and not 4000? Going by how I option programmed my BV8/Beosys6500, the TV is running things. To get AUX through the Beo4, you go into the list menu. I had to add ATAPE2, I believe. (At the office now). Hunt around, relative to the connector you use - and get the options right on the two? Not as knowledgeable about this
