Hey - until I moved house recently, I barely had room for Pentas, so fair enough. If you are interested in older B&O stuff, there are lots of nice pieces of equipment you can pick up for not much money to start a collection A nice 1970s Beolit radio or similar springs to mind. Someone else I'm sure will be along to advise you on how to best

From leftfield: Bearing in mind your budget, how about something vintage? You could pick up some Beolab Pentas and a decent Beocentre 9000 within your budget. The Pentas will blow away all of the other speakers mentioned above, and I suspect that the Beocentre will go down as one of the finest B&O designs ever - not sure time will be so kind to

mnemonick: Very sad indeed - I've had nothing but excellent service from the team at Roundhay - I'll miss them greatly. I'd just got off the 'phone from them this morning (Beo 5 arrived!) and the same letter dropped through my door... I've only been in the Leeds City Centre store once, on my lunch from work, and it wasn't a particularly

Medogsfat: John's absolutely right - the store is very difficult to find unless you know Leeds very well (and not that easy even if you do!). A real shame as it is a cracking store. Chris. A real shame. They were very helpful last year when I tried to get some packaging for my Pentas when I moved house. Even though they couldn't get any in the

In the Sunday Times there was a big report on this on how 'ultra luxury' brands are bucking the downturn, with wealthy clients spending in a way that laughs at the so-called downturn. Sales are up on many

Alex: Shopping Centres don't tend to sap away from B&O's business - bear in mind that B&O dealers are usually slightly off the beaten track because they know that at least a large proportion of their business is going to come from people who are specifically looking for a B&O system, or have a B&O system in mind. Err..forgive

Sad news for us Loiners. I guess the city centre store sapped some of the business away from Roundhay :(
-
Hopefully a Beosound 2, and if we move to the flat we have our eye on, a Beomaster 900 RG Compact if I can find one for the collection :)

Have you tried repeatedly switching the mute relay on and off lots of times? Worked on my BM 5000 when I had a similar problem.

tournedos: j0hnbarker: To be fair there's very little room left for my house keys and wallet in my MGB GT when my girlfriend and I go out for a day trip, once her camera bag, huge handbag, etc. have been loaded up. Get a Cadillac! For a similar trip, I could pack the girlfriend, four friends, three crates of beer, a Beomaster 1200 along with a couple
