Wonderfulelectric, your post is confusing, to say the least. The acoustic lenses are a major breakthrough in sound reproduction
I'm no audio engineer, but there was a massive difference between the BL6000s and BL3s. I tested some BL3s when I owned the BL6000s, over a weekend, went back to the BL6000s

The BL9s definitely do not need a sub. I had the BL2 connected with the BL9s and it was total overkill. Also, it seemed to make the sound more 'dull'. Too much bass. Not clean enough. You'd be wasting a lot of money buy buying a BL2 with BL9s.
-
If I had the choice between BL8000s/BL2 and BL9s, there would be no hesitation over the BL9s. Mind you, I'd use them in combination with a 7.4 under my BV7, rather than a 7.1 speaker. BL2 isn't too good for CD playback, depending on your choice of music.

I think you'd find the answer with a quick forum search. This has been discussed a few times and the conclusion was that you will be able to buy the BM5 separately (it will fit in to a BV9) and can control this from your computer. Whether you can connect to it wirelessly, which is what I'd require, is another matter.

Talking of new products, what's the status on the rumoured Beocenter 3 - the Beocenter 2 upgrade. If B&O are bringing out a range of BV7s without DVD player, they're going to have to upgrade the BC2 if they have a BV-70+Blu-ray option but no option for customers who've bought the BV7-40 without DVD.

Yes, I noticed that quote - funny, you couldn't have more cables behind my BV7-40, with the RF box, Sky box, PS3, speakers and so on!
-
I'm still waiting for the Sky HD link room issues to be solved, which were introduced with sw 5. Funny how it takes months for these bugs to be resolved - it was early November when I had sw 5 installed. No info from my dealer, nothing from B&O either.

Perhaps it will have this touted 'mini BS3' that's been mentioned on the board? If the BV8-40 is going to get this mini-BS3, then the mid-level BV10 will have to have the same picture processing unit. No way you could regard a BV8-40 as an entry-level TV and then exclude the engine in the mid-level BV10. My guess is, well, that we're

Maybe they are trying to move away from internal DVD drives, thus encouraging customers to look more seriously at the non-DVD option? A EUR 4000 discount is bizarre. I can't believe the specs will differ between the two TVs as they'll share the same panel and BS3.

Simon, when something doesn't work, then it isn't 'fit for purpose'. Rob's scenario is completely different. He's had replacement B&O TVs, he says the lag issue applies to other TVs in the showroom and so on. He's also had his B&O TV for two years. It couldn't be any more different from your scenario. Unfortunately
