  • Re: Beogram 6500 - camwheel positions?

Menahem is the solenoid expert - I've never had that problem so I can't comment on that... If it moves freely, I don't suppose that's the culprit. Also, the solenoid seems to be in the correct rest position, but as Olly says, the upper camwheel is not. The white slider thingy inside of it should line up with the center bearing and the

  • Re: MCL system with MCL2E and MCL2A problems

Limited success is still success! Neither the MCL2A's nor the Beomaster really know how many of them are on the wire, so you might well get away with more than recommended number of MCL2A's as your cabling isn't that long after all. (No, I didn't bother really thinking what "500 ft" actually means either! It's more than

  • Re: MCL system with MCL2E and MCL2A problems

We have the MCL2 installation and user guides on site (the "user" guide actually being the one that an installer would like to read), but they don't go inside the boxes at all - otherwise I would've told you a long time ago what the correct spec for the power supply is! Just wiring and configuration instructions. One thing I note there

  • Re: beosound 9000 remote

I believe using it without speakers is exactly your problem... for some odd reason, B&O decided that if it doesn't have any Powerlink speakers connected, it will drop to Option 0 after each power cycle. There was some connector trickery (a fake "speaker") that would fool it, but in the meantime, just keep it plugged in! Now you know

  • Re: MCL system with MCL2E and MCL2A problems

Well, there aren't that many people doing MCL at this scale on the forum I guess... I don't remember all the twists, but have you been able to verify at some point that the MCL2E actually works?

  • Re: Shot Beogram 4002 bearing?

Or maybe they were just all worn! In any case, I haven't noticed it causing any ill effects on my decks - the platter seems to run completely stable anyway. They don't have much grease left either.

  • Re: Shot Beogram 4002 bearing?

For what it's worth, every single deck of this type I've seen had a wobbly platter bearing.

  • Re: What is this ? --- ;)

As it seems to involve quite a bit of carpentery anyway, I think I'd rather mill/route it out of a solid block of wood instead of destroying a nice original B&O box... but perhaps they are plentiful somewhere else than here! Looks very good in any case

  • Re: Beogram 4004 DIN pins

I can't see any point in bothering to retrofit the Beogram control into a 2400. It's just start, stop and pause anyway. The service manual on site seems to cover both 2400 and 2400-2, but after a quick glance over it it doesn't say a word about the Beogram control. The ultrasonic receiver and control schematic is there though. And the Beogram

  • Re: How to differentiate visually various powerlink cables

They all have 8 pin connectors! However, Mk.2 is the only version that has them all connected.
