Medogsfat: Heyup John, I'm expecting delivery of a MMC20S shortly, it would be doing us both a favour if you borrowed it as I have nothing to test it on. I'll let you know if/when it arrvives. Chris. Nice one Chris. Give me a shout when you get it and we can sort something out :)

Thanks Derek - I don't have a multimeter but will try the 'digital' method you suggested!

Puncher: I take it you have read this speaker shootout - written, by our recent birthday boy, at the time of the release of the BL9. It would be cool to do this again while also plotting the decline in the ability to determine the difference versus the amount of alcohol consumed I remember it well. Would be good to try this again sometime, but I guess

Llewelyn: I have to agree - A blind test would be interesting! Regarding Pentas, I once had a setup involving the following: Beomaster 8000, Beogram 8002 (MMC2), Beogram CDX and passive Pentas. It sounded unbelieveable! Far better than active Pentas and definately without question better than the BC2300/Lab 8000s I replaced it with! Got to agree with

TripEnglish: Can we please grow up? Hey, Trip - why don't you apply that logic to yourself? When you first appeared on here you weren't exactly honest about the fact that you were a B&O dealer and therefore had a vested interest in the topics you were discussing. Then you patronised Austin with your withering remarks about his age and immaturity

My MMC20EN used in my Beogram 4002 seems to have dropped a channel, or at least that's what I'm hoping. Has anyone got a decent MMC20XX cartridge that I can borrow just to work out if it's my cartridge or my Beogram that's developed a fault? I'm more than happy to cover postage costs etc. TIA John

If it is anything like my 28 inch RF Avant, you can check in the service menu by pressing MENU, going into the setup menu, then hitting 0 0 and ok. If the BV3 is different, I'm sure someone will be along to correct me!
