• Re: Installation of new tweeter for beolab 3
Thank you for the answers. I tought that the value supposed to be stated only with one decimal therefor +0,04 wasn´t a option for me. But it might be right if they measure them so exactly. What was the value of your tweeter? I think I payed 30 Euro for it. I replace it because it doesn´t sound good since someone

I have done this job but must confess that it was some time ago. I would assume that your label reads +0.04db. which would mean that you adjust the potentiometer to position of 5 (iirc it is graduated 0-9 where 5 corresponds to the 0db level) The service manual is on this site. Please check 'cos my memory is not what it once was.

Yes, it has the same mounting holes and the motor versions should work also.

  • Re: Beolab 5000 panel
I can understand why people like the design of these - I just cannot understand the price. They are not much more than a pair of P45 (Beovox 5000) or with a built in amplifier with bass boost (Beolab 5000). For the £1,000 or more a pair of Pentas produce better sound - or for about £50 (now) you can have

  • Re: Cartridges...Some Options..
Andy, I can certainly vouch for the quality of Soundsmith's cartridges (I use their SMMC4 on my own Beogram 3500), as this is excellent and real value for money. Regards, Steve.
Agree 100%. I have fitted Sound-smith SMMC4 cartridges in many of the record decks that I have supplied and they
