Just had a look at the specs for your Onkyo and you do not need an RIAA as it has one built in. For $500, the 4002 should be in very good condition and with a cartridge. The original TX was a Beogram 6002 without the datalink and I think it had RCA plugs. Looks like a 8002 but is belt drive. The TX2 is more like a 5500 deck.

I see it did - essentially a free TV - well done!

Same tube as the Avant and same excellent picture. Tubes go in a number of ways but a nasty green hue seems to be a characteristic sometimes seen. However I wouldn't worry - you have got a wonderful picture for the price of a new Beo4! Did it come with a remote?

You do not need an aerial connection if you are using sky though if there is an aerial to connect, I would use one! It allows the link room to have another source. I don't use the analogue tuner in my main room set but have DVB-T but this allows my link room to have Sky, Freeview and normal analogue, all remote control on a 16 year old LX6000!

Just jame a bit of wire between the casing and the socket and then you can attach the other end to the amplifier - you will then only need a short length. Not a stupid question at all - one that has fooled many of us in the past!

The official B&O site may have it on for free.

Lightweight late turntable without RIAA. Personally I wouldn't bother - the original TX is much heavier built but a 4000 type deck will hold its value better and will last. The advantage of the TX2 is that it uses the later cartridges.

You need to run a wire from the metal casing of the DIN plug to the earth on the amplifier.

The 5000 should sound just the same as the RX2 as these are effectively the same deck. I take it that the MMC3 sounds fine with the RX2 and if this is the case, the arm on the 5000 sounds as if it is the problem. I don't like the sound of the bent counterweight as this suggests some considerable impact to the arm. I would be tempted to send it back

I have both. The touch is slimmer and works very well as a remote. You can download apps no problem and it can also be used for email and internet browsing as it has a wi-fi capability. It has no camera and the newer iPhone features such as compass and maps are missing.
