There is a very short SCART cable from the VHS box at the bottom to the Vtape SCART socket above, so this is what Andy is describing..

The following MX "Type" numbers can have a STB-C in them, but the TV software may need to be updated. TYPE numbers 782X, 783X, 785X, 786X, 788X, 789X, 780X, 781X, 787X, 870X, 871X, 872X As far as I am aware the current IR transmitter cable has not changed.

  • Re: Can't turn on

Saigon, A very warm welcome to Beoworld.. Power supply problems in most modern B&O Beovisions are complex and can only be fixed to component level with a lot of electronics knowledge and fault finding tools. However I would expect any technician to check the basics first, like has the fuse blown ? Whilst B&O technicians normally change the faulty

  • Re: Philips PVR & STB-C

Beoberlin, As you say the STB-C is updated with a chip and there are different chips for four areas of Europe and they will not be updated in the future. The PUC is updated with a software tool and is regularly updated with new products. The DTR 7005 is not supported in the PUC, but the DTR 7200 is, so may work with the 7005

  • Re: Beosound 3 - touchplate not responding!!

As Peter says this apparently is quite a common problem and is caused by a flat cable from the top not been correctly handled/fitted when it was originally mounted during manufacture and is therefore almost certainly damaged. • Re: Beoport 4.83 released

Kim, There is a album image cache which you can set in the configuration settings. About 10 standard images will fit into 1MB of cache, so provided you have lots of disk space set it to a large number. The only time when it potentially slows down the system is when it is waiting for it to download a new image(s), once you have all the images there is

  • Re: Help re DVD controller

Michael, A very warm welcome to Beoworld.. Given that you appear to be having the same problem with both AVANT's and assuming you are using the same Beo4 to control both AVANT's then it maybe the battery's in the Beo4 may need replacing as a first step.
