Based on what we know, you get a 2 way remote so there is no need to leave the screen on. You also get the ability to listen to your music in link rooms and you can take the remote with your. Apple TV in the US is nothing more then an outlet for Itunes, the content that is available for purchase overshadows your own. Ths is much different then what

B&O has assured its automotive partners that its work with car audio will continue. You'll need to brush up your Danish, of course: http://www.business.dk/article/20080218/ittele/80218022/

Hi Peter, It's always difficult to get across a precise meaning with words, I think I confused you - what people do is place slabs of stone or other materials on top of the floor, under the speakers. This is to provide a solid base for the speakers "to kick off from" if the floor is soft (in old buildings it may even have begun sagging

The fun thing about Internet fora is that you get a range of opinions. In churches, you have "absolute" agreement. I like that there's a range of opinions here on BeoWorld, and I doubt that any of us are universally down on the brand's products -- we have some we love, and some we would like to see improved, and the amusing thing is

Here's my beef with Kaleidescape - and I'm criticizing something that to a certain extent I've done myself, using a server and DVD-Pedia. Let's say you're a premium Kaleidescape customer, with money to burn, and you buy 4.000 movies and have them transferred to harddisks, readily available in your yacht or mansion. Great - something

If the floor could support it, you could have a slab underneath both speakers and covering the distance between them - might look quite wonderful.

Today's Apple TV use in our household: My daughter and friends have watched two episodes of a US TV series, which they downloaded to harddisk and began watching within minutes. I watched the second half of a feature film I rented, while excercising - and have since listened to music, which the Apple TV is pulling in from a number of different sources

Alex: The issue will be the meter or so gap between the speakers. You mean underneath, right? I understood it as being a space underneath the entire floor, and not just where the speakers are. It can be a problem, but doesn't have to be a total spoiler - you can even place the speakers on heavy stone slabs - often done with other speaker types in

The signal that comes out of your BeoSound has to be passed through the software, before being sent on to the speakers. As I'm not using a BeoSound, but playing from a harddisk, I can do the processing in the computer before sending the processed signal to the speakers. But in your case I would consider using this: http://audyssey.com/soundequalizer

  • Re: iTunes, Airport, Direct....and my new BL2

No - it's not. The problem is clearer now. The CDs you are playing are being converted from their full bitrate, which I believe is about 1411kb/s, you're comparing that with mp3 which can be encoded from 128kb/s and up. They will sound different, and should. As you increase compression, you'll lose details, reduce the dynamic range, etc
