  • Beogram 1000/1500 Platter, Tone Arm Weight & Speed Control Knob - Giveaway

Following a recent turn of good fortune on the Beobargain front, I'd like to give away some spare parts that are surplus to requirements. All of the above are in MINT condition and purchased by me from eBay a few months back. Will also pay UK postage for free to any fellow Beoworlders. Any takers? TIA John

  • Re: Vintage BeoMaster 900 RG deluxe - possibly

davefarr: It was a bargain. The legs are a bit feable but they do come off via 4 bolts. Mine fit in the back of the car with the rear seats folded and well padded with quilts, towels and pillows. Ah - the legs on mine were held in place with dowel rods and glue, not bolts. I know because I had to re-attach one when it fell off in transit!

davefarr: Looks like it to me too. I've just bought one for 120 EUR which was immaculate and also included the Beocord 200 and all associated documents including schematics/manuals etc. I travelled 6 hours each way for it and still think it was worthwhile. Along the back outside panel there should be a paper identification label with model number

Yes - that's a Beomaster 900 RG Deluxe alright. Looks like teak finish. Nice set - I have one myself! Edit - I sold one on eBay recently that I had repolished and generally cleaned up. It was in rosewood (which in my mind looks less forgiving in contemporary interiors, so therefore is probably less in terms of value than the teak ones) and I got

  • Re: Beogram 8002

The one I have won't even play! Hopefully it will be paying a visit to Tim Jarman after I spoke to him yesterday. Am really looking forward to the day I can push play for the first time and use this lovely deck :)

  • Beogram 8002

Just got my hands on a Beogram 8002 that has problem in that when it is hooked up to the Beomaster 6000, it will turn with the tone arm starting to move a few mm towards the record, then it immediately moves back. I can sometimes set the speed, and sometimes it just seems to crash. Is this a CPU problem, and is it fixable? TIA John

  • Re: Pre-1965 new section on Beocentral

Wow! That's great - hope to see my Jet Present 607K on there one day. I had wondered whether Tim was updating the site as many of the news items are/were(?) well out of date when I last visited. Good to see this development though :)
