With commodity prices holding up so well, perhaps B&O could develop some class-leading gold extrusion technology for the frame of the BV7. That way, when the panel is obsolete in <12mths, at least the customer will get a good trade in down the local metal exchange.

Graham1982: Hi: I really like Jaguar's and have been breaking them for a few years with a friend of mine in the London area. I have an interest in a Jaguar dismantlers if anyone has Jaguars and is looking for parts. However, the purpose of me replying to this thread was not to unashemedly advertise myself but to say that I seem to like stuff from

Sorry to jump in here Dave - I think there are quite a few of us here who like old cars and old watches - I guess it's something to do with a love of design? Love your classic car collection - are they all left-hand drive with you living in France? Always fancied an Elan, but never had the chance to drive one myself. For my part I've now got

Hi Ray I'm listening to the radio at home today as I'm not feeling too fresh. Have been alternating between AM for Radio 5, and LW for Test Match Special on Radio 4 - all through my lovely Beomaster 900M + Beovox 1000s. Was my first piece of B&O, and probably my favourite (depending which day you ask me on!). You've got a great receiver

I do like bass a lot :) Redlines are out I'm afraid Cadave - my girlfriend hates them unfortunately. I tried to persuade her that some RL140s would look good in our

Thanks for your comments guys. I was actually hoping to use some later speakers as I didn't want anything with a wooden veneered cabinet in the room where I plan to use the 6000 - also this might be quite a nice comparison with how products from different eras can work together and still look contemporaneous. I've always been quite taken with

After lusting over them for years now, I finally got my hands on a Beomaster 6000 Quad. It needs some work doing to it, so I have some time to think about what the best speaker choice would be for this amp. I have lots of passive B&O speakers, and would like to try and match it up with a speaker range that I don't already own. It will be used

Belts? My newly acquired Beocord 8004 doesn't go into standby, but the solenoid tries to engage the tape heads, then immediately disengages (a classic sign of disintegrated belts) Perhaps Martin could advise!

Hi Ray I really enjoyed reading your post, and was interested to see what's in your collection. I was talking to a wealthy academic a couple of years back who thought he was well into collecting watches, but it turned out that he really didn't like them for their aesthetic appeal, but more for what he thought the fact that he collected them
