  • Re: Beogram 4002 no arm movement

I happen to have a spare motor (admittedly I haven't actually seen it working a Beogram, but it seems to run fine) and it takes 10/11 mA when run with a 9V battery. BTW with that mains voltage, I'd set the deck to 240V. It sees almost 10% more than specified now. I don't believe that affects this problem, but the power supply probably heats

  • Re: Calling all RedLine owners for some assistance

That's difficult... looks like Univers somethng to me but not at all clearly (Univers ExtendedPS seems to fit the digits, but not the R).

  • Re: When did you become a Bang & Olufsen fan?

When I was 12 or so my aunt had a Beovision - I think it was a 8800. Most I remember from it was the sturdy, immensely heavy remote. Fast forward 25 years or so and I spotted a slim, real good looking vintage radio at the local charity flea market. I took a close look although it hadn't been priced yet, and saw it was a Bang & Olufsen - I of

Great minds and all that, Leslie The print on mine is only 19 mm wide. I should add that my RL6000s don't have any print at all.

Dunno if this helps Jay, but this is how the original straps on my 60.2's look like. I presume these are a very early pair as the crossover has been built on chipboard, the later ones have real PCB's as far as I know.

  • Re: BeoVision 10 wall placement

In hindsight I think my sentence above is easily misunderstood - by "level of the natural eye sight" I don't mean horizontally at your eye level, but the spot where your sight hits the wall when you sit comfortably in your favourite chair and don't make any effort either way. For me, the result is still about the same, but this is

  • Re: Beomaster 5500 humming/brum

I believe it is the mains transformer humming. I have a 5500 that does the same. Unfortunately I don't think there's any way to fix it (short of replacing the transformer and hoping the spare is more silent), but usually you can silence it enough by experimenting a little with the location. Move it a bit away from the center of the shelf, try

  • Re: First check Beosystem 6500

My suggestion is to not waste your time on the Beocord until you have installed new belts. All three for the mechanism + possibly the drawer. If they haven't been replaced earlier, they simply will not work. These really have the funny habit of leaving the motor + capstan pins running until standby once you start them.

  • Re: First check Beosystem 6500

The CD tray timeout is 3 minutes and cannot be adjusted. You should check the switch that operates when the tray is fully open (clean / adjust it after making sure the tray actually is able to move its full travel before getting blocked by dirt and / or hardened grease). Starting problems are probably due to C2103 dying (on the servo board, do a forum
