Hi Jeff My first foray into the North American forum, but your post made me want to comment on my own experiences: I own the following Beomasters: 900M 5000 (80s stack version) 6000 (70s Quad) 6000 (80s BIG LED) 8000 (80s BIG LED) I can honestly say that at moderate listening levels, my favourite amp is the 6000 (80s) version. Running through some Beovox

My 4002 has the switch, but no modulator. If you take the wood trim off and remove the metal panels on top, you'll see the space under the control keys where the board would sit if you had one. If I recall correctly, there's some kind of blanking plate in there in my Beogram.

I have a Beomaster 6000 at the moment that is awaiting repair, so I can comment on 3) at least. The remote commander only controls volume, balance front/back/left/right, source and radio preset functions. kokomo: The whole thing is a useless exercise. Myself included, tracks nominated will be those which have been listened to often enough to have an opinion on their suitability to be included. These will be by artists whose music you like to listen to! A certain piece of orchestral music, opera or country may be a fantastically dynamic recording but

beo4life: Dire Straits - Money for Nothing Played on the beolab 5000's on dads timberframed walls. It made one guy offer us £1400 for the speakers, which we turned down. Great track! Got to be the album version with the extended intro though :)

'All on a Misty Morning' by Paul Weller always sounds good - also his cover of 'If I Could Only be Sure' is a really well produced record and would give any amp/speaker combination a good workout.

TripEnglish: To you specifically, John, I do wish you'd give me a break as to my identity as a dealer. I never intended to mislead anyone, but as you can imagine, it's not always welcomed for employess to be active on forums like this. Now that I'm a little mnore comforatble, it's been smooth sailing and I've been nothing but forthright

TripEnglish: I think I'm going to retire. Hang my jersey from the rafters. That's a shame Trip. Why you couldn't 'retire' your endless sarcasm and relentlessly condescending attitude towards certain forum members is beyond me. Many of your posts were entertaining/useful and were a positive contribution to the site as a whole - are

anampersand: Razlaw: anampersand: Razlaw: My wife's new Cadillac CTS is much more technologically advanced than a new Bentley, real time traffic updates, etc, but I still would choose the Bentley if I had the choice, even with its technology that might be a year or two, or maybe even more, out of date, because of the whole package Bentley, as B

TripEnglish: you're stretching your whole story a little thin. So would that be like when you pretended to be a regular B&O customer then Trip, rather than a B&O dealer with a vested interest? Did the pressure that comes from 'stretching your story a little thin' get to you, so much so that you felt you had no choice but to reveal
